The Forget-Me-Not Café has recently enjoyed two visits from some of the children from Curry Rivel Primary School. The first time they came and entertained all the guests with some wonderful singing. And the next time, they presented their garden project and how they were helping the environment. They kindly gave each guest an Easter card and a bunch of flowers and in return, each child received a crème egg.
The guests then enjoyed a fun game of bingo with Easter eggs for the lucky winners and this was followed by tea with hot cross buns and Easter cupcakes.
The afternoon was rounded off with singing along with two of our fabulous volunteer musicians, Carol and Graham, who led the group in some songs from the fifties and sixties.
At the end of the afternoon all the guests were given an Easter egg to take home and the café presented Ginny with ten Easter eggs (pictured) as a donation to the Curry Rivel, Drayton and Hambridge Food Bank.
A great time was had by all and the café would like to extend their thanks to the school for taking the time to bring the children along. Our guests really enjoy spending time with the them.
